Tell Justin Trudeau to Take the Lead on TB

Tuberculosis is a global health emergency. A person dies from TB every 18 seconds. It is a deadly and deeply painful disease that disproportionately affects people living in developing countries, or in places where access to health services is poor.

In order to save lives and alleviate the suffering of those with TB, better diagnosis, treatment and prevention is urgently needed.

Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is a world leader in the treatment of TB, and we need governments around the world to step up and help us stop this disease for good.

On September 26, 2018, for the first time ever, the United Nations General Assembly will hold a High-Level Meeting on the strategies needed to end TB. This is a pivotal moment for TB, one that calls for action and leadership. Canada has committed to respond to TB at home, but should now step up and commit to ending TB globally.

We are calling on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to take the lead at the UN’s High Level Meeting on TB, and to commit to bringing an end to this global disease pandemic.
